相信大多数小学生都能秒答,然而一个美国的普通小学生却冥思苦想了好一会儿才“算”出这个旷古难题。
美国号称拥有世界上最好的公立教育系统。
在很多人的印象中,美国的学校是老师开明,学生自由,师生间其乐融融的和谐场景。
美国孩子总是无拘无束,似乎不用承受中日韩孩子所背负的学习负担和升学压力。
然而事实真的如此吗?
今天要聊的这部《等待超人》,将带你发现美国教育真实的另一面。
摇号那段挺残酷的,我不喜欢看到想读书的人因为外界原因读不了书。
看的时候总是不自觉拿里面的教育体制和我国相比。
终身制老师我国也有,摆烂的老师我国也有,所以最近几年有些地区会实行淘汰制,对老师进行评估然后淘汰。编制的数量也在减少,竞争在变大。中心小学招聘的教师是研究生,至少本科。
国家逐年对九年义务教育的私立学校转化为公立,不再批准新的私立学校建立,就是防止好老师都被挖去私立学校了。
前一两年扩招了幼儿园教师编制,好的公立学校都要靠摇号进去,我妹妹摇号进公立幼儿园失败
看来穷人(主要是有色人种)在美国想上个本科还真难。学区、择校、摇号多熟悉的字眼啊。但上个稍微好点的学校还真不贵,500刀一个月。另外抽签择校的过程公正透明,愿赌服输。
基础教育的质量问题已经困扰着n届总统了,看看奥巴马有什么好进展。米国社会到处都是问题,但幸运的是他们时刻都在反思问题并且寻找出路。

Three possibilities about the American education system: 1. The situation is bad---a) we want to fix it but failed, b) we don't want to fix it but pretend we do; 2. The situation is not bad but we are told that it is bad---a) to criticize the government, b) for self-benefits; 3. The situation is bad but not that bad---a) to criticize the government, b) to get more attention on this issue.
I don't know which is true. Not saying the American education situation is perfect, but at least the movie did not persuade me that the situation is as terrible as it claims.
